Frequently asked questions
Can I attend with my whole team?
In theory, yes — you can attend a public workshop with your entire team. However, we usually recommend that companies book a separate session with us. This allows us to learn more about your internal structures and focus the workshop on the specific needs of your organization — to help you integrate accessibility effectively and sustainably into your daily processes.
Will I receive a handout or certificate after the workshop?
After attending one of our workshops, you’ll receive either a certificate or access to the corresponding online course (if available), which you can use as a reference. A certificate of participation is provided for every workshop.
I’ve already taken a digital accessibility course — is this still for me?
If you already have experience with digital accessibility, we recommend getting in touch with us directly so we can find out together whether the workshop is still a good fit for you. Just send us an email at hallo@gehirngerecht.digital, and we’ll get back to you!
How long does a workshop last?
You can find the duration of each public workshop further up the page. Team workshops usually last between 4 and 8 hours, depending on how much hands-on practice your team would like.
Are the workshops only for beginners?
Our public workshops are primarily designed for beginners. If your team already has more experience and specific questions, we strongly recommend booking a dedicated workshop tailored to your team’s needs.
Can developers (or product owners) join a design workshop?
Yes, it can be very useful! Developers can benefit from understanding what to look out for when receiving designs, helping them make better decisions for accessible implementation. For product owners, it’s helpful for refining the definition of done or testing tasks for accessibility. Ultimately, it depends on how open participants are to gaining a broader understanding of accessibility as a whole.
Are there discounts for group bookings?
There are no discounts for public workshops. However, companies receive discounts for 10 or more participants, or depending on the number of workshops booked.
Is the workshop only for web design, or does it also cover apps?
For designers, there’s little difference between creating accessible designs for websites and apps. However, workshops for developers mainly focus on web development. We don’t develop apps ourselves, so we can only provide a general overview of accessibility in that area.
