What's it about?

Standalone quotes must be marked up correctly. This includes, for example, individual customer testimonials displayed on a website.

Mark quotes correctly
To mark standalone quotations, use the <blockquote>.

For quotes within a paragraph, there is also a special HTML element (<q>), but it is often ignored by screen readers and is therefore not strictly necessary.
